ACADEMY OF MUSIC AND FINE ARTS (AMFA) and ANGELENO CHESS CLUB (ACC) PROUDLY PRESENT: “PRACTICE CHESS” SERIES #3 PRACTICE NEW OPENINGS / TRY NEW IDEAS / GET BACK INTO SHAPE Saturday, May 20, 2017 LOCATION: AMFA Location: 6240 Laurel Cyn Blvd, North Hollywood, 91606. For entrance use Sylvan street. DESCRIPTION: 2 Main Section: “Master” and “Apprentice”. Subsections will be available based on participants. TIME CONTROL: Game in 35. (When using a clock). Last 10 minutes of all unfinished games will be played using a clock. SCHEDULE: At 9:30 AM / 11:00 AM/ 12:30/ 2:00 PM. Closing Ceremony immediately after the rounds are completed. PAIRINGS: Pairings will be done as to make the best match-ups possible based on USCF rating / age / experience. PRIZES: Trophies / Medals and other prizes in each section and subsections. Recording a game in not required but encouraged. FEES: $30 if postmarked before May 17th. $10 off for families and 25% off for AMFA and ACC current students. ON-SITE: $5 MORE ON SITE.
